Ernie Smith Community Park provides an athletic field for little league and softball, a basketball court, children's accessible play area, 1/2 acre dog park with picnic tables and a pet drinking fountain, wheelchair-accessible group picnic area, and a paved trail. The park has approximately .52 miles of trail consisting primarily of a paved trail. The trail is virtually flat and passes by the playground, sports field, and created wetland. There are picnic tables and a wildlife viewing platform available along the trail.
The park is named after Ernest Maynard "Ernie" Smith, a pioneer in Bay Area sports announcing from the mid-1920's to the 1950's.
