Heber Dunes SVRA, located three (3) miles north of the Mexican border crossing at Highway 7 (Calexico/Mexicali) in Imperial County, is the most recent addition to the Off-Highway Motor Vehicle Recreation (OHMVR) Division. This 343 acre SVRA is especially popular with ATV riders; however, some dune buggies, utility vehicles and motorcycle riders also visit the park.

Heber Dunes SVRA offers a variety of recreational challenges including winding trails through the creosote studded sand dunes, large "fine sand" sand dunes, and dry lake beds with hard packed clay. Riders are asked to use caution on the narrower trails where visibility is limited, and all ATV riders are required to use whips/flags as a safety precaution at the park.

The park is for day use only—no camping is allowed. Visitors are reminded to exit the park prior to sunset when it closes and the gates are locked.

Note: Some former uses of this park are prohibited for the safety of the public, including: recreational shooting, hunting, and paint ball related activities.
