The Pioneer Church & Burial Ground are located in Reily Township at 3000 Indian Creek Road, Oxford, OH. The scenic historic brick church was built in 1829 and is surrounded by the Burial Ground that dates back to 1810. The 99-acre Burial Ground serves as the final resting place for some of the area's earliest settlers.
The Pioneer Church can be reserved seasonally for small weddings and/or services. The church will hold approximately 100 visitors and is very rustic. There is electricity, but no water or restrooms on site. A portable toilet can be added to reservations for an additional fee. A non-resident Group Motor Vehicle Permit can be purchased in advance with your reservation for $25. No alcohol is allowed at this park.
Seasonal reservations for the Pioneer Church are required minimally 30 days prior to your event and can be done by contacting the MetroParks Administration Office at 513.867.5835 Monday through Friday before 5:00 p.m.
