Lake Hennessey is an 850-acre man-made lake providing water to the residents of the City of Napa. The lake offers fantastic wildlife viewing, including birds of prey and water birds. As it is a water supply, bodily contact with the water in the lake is prohibited. The fishing, however, is fantastic.
Fishing permit fee of $1 per day or $5 per year must be paid for persons 16 years or older. The daily fee must be submitted in the drop box at the boat launch. The yearly fee (calendar year) may be purchased at Water Division headquarters downtown at 1340 Clay Street — cash or check preferred.
Fishing rules and limits are established by the California Department of Fish and Wildlife.
