All of Short Cove on Tisbury Great Pond has been conserved.  A third of a mile long, this cove typifies the subtle and serene nature of the Vineyard's riparian lowlands. Stretching along the shore between it and Pear Tree Cove is a privately owned 25-acre sheep pasture. The trail, from Tiah's Cove Road trailhead, along the pastures, beside the cove, against the great pond and back to the trailhead is a wonderful 2 mile walk.

From the intersection of New Lane and WT-Edgartown Roads, go 0.75 miles down New Lane/ Tiah’s Cove Road, staying on the asphalt throughout — turn right into the trailhead.
