Waiāhole Forest Reserve is located on the windward side of O'ahu. This forest reserve was established by Governor's proclamation in 1915, by governor Lucius E. Pinkham. The Division of Forestry and Wildlife currently manages three different sections of this forest reserve, this main section located closer to Kāne'ohe, the Waiāhole section, which is located closer to Waiāhole, and the Ioleka'a section located in between the two.
