A coastal pond separated from the sea by a barrier beach. This preserve, adjacent to the pond, helps protect the pond’s integrity and wildlife. The relatively high dune and the austere beach, offer views from Cuttyhunk to Mashpee.

Take Daggett Avenue towards Lake Tashmoo for 0.5 miles. Turn right onto Herring Creek Road at the very end just before Stonegate Lane/Dead End signs.  The road is long and narrow. Go 0.8 miles to the Land Bank sign, on right.  Parking is limited.
