Take Fido on one of these shaded and scenic trails to find yourself away from the hustle of mountain bikes and equestrian traffic. Please be aware that not all of these trails have water available as the creeks and streams only run seasonally. Bring water for longer adventures to protect your pooch from the summer heat.
Dogs are required to be on leash around all Tahoe Donner amenities and parking areas. Be sure to carry a leash and dog waste bags. We kindly ask you to carry your dog waste to the nearest trash receptacle. Leaving the dog waste bag on trail is LITTERING!
When encountering equestrians on the trail, be sure to control your dog on a leash to ensure the safety of the horseback rider AND your dog. Ask the rider for permission to pass and what the best method would be.
You are responsible for your pet. Please keep them under control and do not allow them to chase wildlife.
