The Plumley Maude Trail makes an excellent spring walk, jog or ski. The trail can be accessed via two Butte area roads, Plumley and Maud. In winter, snowmachine use creates a packed trail, though in spring and summer, ATV use can make it muddy. Crossing over the salmon-bearing McRoberts Creek, a patch of black spruce, and offering views of Burnt Butte and Lazy Mountain, this multi-use trail is a gem of the Matanuska Valley.
A note on social distancing: Please observe all State of Alaska Guidelines for social distancing in light of COVID-19, and do not approach other trail users or congregate at trailheads.
