Every Tuesday in 2021 we will present a 10 second video highlighting a native plant in Indian River County! If you have a plant species you’d like highlighted let us know! Email us at Conservation@ircgov.com
Today’s plant is the Walter's Viburnum, Viburnum obovatum. This native plant can be found in maritime hammocks and does well in dry soils. It makes a fantastic hedging plant. Butterflies are attracted to the fragrant white flowers and birds love the fruit. This plant can be found at Indian Captain Forster Hammock Preserve along Jungle Trail!
