at Katharine Cornell Theater. Sponsored by the Vineyard Haven Library
MIT assistant professor Dr. Kevin Esvelt is joined by Dr. Sheila Jasanoff, Dr. Carolyn Neuhaus, Dr. Duane Wesemann and Dr. Sam Telford for a public presentation about Mice Against Ticks, a community-guided project which aims to reduce the number of disease-carrying ticks on Martha’s Vineyard by enlisting our local white-footed mice! The New Yorker’s Michael Specter will lead a panel discussion about community-guided science and the ethical implications of altering our shared environment to reduce tick-borne disease.
