NJ Conservation and the Delaware River Mill Society will welcome hikers from 1-3pm on Sunday, November 14th at the parking lot at Horseshoe Bend Park (south entrance). Please note this is NOT our usual meeting place at the Prallsville Mills. We will not hold an organized hike this year, but encourage you to go out in small groups and enjoy the trails on their own. We will provide maps, water, and snacks - and be very happy to see you all!
This marks the 27th hike honoring Donald and Beverley Jones, conservation heroes who worked tirelessly to preserve Hunterdon County's gorgeous landscapes.
At over 1,000 acres, Horseshoe Bend offers 11.5 miles of trails on 6 different well marked intersecting routes. Enjoy beautiful vistas of the Delaware River Valley as you hike along creeks and through picturesque forests and fields. Multiple partners including New Jersey Conservation, Hunterdon Land Trust, Hunterdon County and the State of New Jersey have worked together to preserve this special place.
