Solano Land Trust’s #OptOutside Thanksgiving Friday 11/24/23
Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park2061 Rockville Road, Fairfield, CA 94534
10am – 2pm
Solano Land Trust’s #OptOutside Thanksgiving Friday is designed as an alternative to the seasons’ commerce-filled experience. It will be a quiet, slow-walk of 3-4 miles. Centered upon nature, forest, and the land it aims to create a shinrin-yoku opportunity. Bring a picnic-lunch, a personal ground cloth and your multigenerational family and friends.
Hike level: Moderate to Moderately Strenuous
Meeting location: At the main gate located at 2061 Rockville Road, Fairfield, CA 94534. Docents are no longer meeting participants at the Ice House.
*Please note, cancellation of the hike may occur due to County Fire Danger Warnings and closures of open spaces and parks. Once registered, you will receive any updates should this ever happen.
*Recent rain events have led to increased instability and some erosion occurring to the entrance road and parking lot at Patwino Worrtla Kodoi Dihi Open Space Park, as well as some trails. As always, access to and use of the PWKD road, lot, and trails is at one’s own risk. Particularly given the recent rains, everyone should continue to exercise care and good judgment. Solano Land Trust and its partners are working hard to deal with the erosion and other issues on the parking lot, entrance road, and trails, and hope to have a long-term solution in place soon.
