Welcome Video
Tune in first thing for a welcome video to kick off the festival from Ridgefield Mayor Don Stose, and a ‘Hello’ from various local community organizations and Multicultural Festival participants. Videos will be shared on the Multicultural Festival Facebook Page and online at 9AM on Saturday, September 5th.

Performances & Presentations:
- Vancouver Ballet Folklorico “Our vision is to invigorate the community of Clark County and beyond with musical and colorful culture and traditions of Mexico through dance classes, crafts and dance presentations. Represent different states of Mexico, showing both the indigenous history and the Spanish influence.” Video to be posted September 5th.
- Traveling Day Society “Traveling Day Society is a Native-led, inter-tribal and multicultural group of musicians performing songs with flute and medicine drum for healing and hospice.” Video to be posted September 5th.

Dance and Cooking Classes
- Nigerian Cuisine Cooking Class with Dr. Buki Okafor
- Filipino Cuisine Cooking Class with Dr. Lea Manlapaz-Villavicencio Dr. Lea is a Ridgefield resident and pediatrician in Longview, WA.
- Pasties Cooking Class with KillaBites Donna Suomi, of KillaBites catering, walks us through how to make a Pasty. The Pasty is a baked pastry made by placing an uncooked filling, typically meat and vegetables, on one half of a flat shortcrust pastry circle, folding the pastry in half to wrap the filling in a semicircle and crimping the curved edge to form a seal before baking. Donna is Finnish and pasty was common in her household growing up. Video and recipe will be available on Saturday, September 5th.

- Traditional Japanese Dance Class with Takohachi Takohachi was founded in 2007 as a non profit organization to preserve DENTOU GEINOU or Traditional Japanese Music and Dance. Takohachi seeks to educate and entertain as we perform throughout the Portland area at schools, festivals and cultural events.
- African Dance Class with Dancer Rujeko Dumbutshena, 12PM and 1:30PM on Zoom (limited attendance, pre-register to reserve your spot. Pre-registration information coming soon.) Learn African dance from the renowned Zimbabwean teacher Rujeko Dumbutshena! Get a sense for the class with her Five(ish) Minute Dance Lessons.
Get a Taste of Ridgefield with a virtual visit to Ridgefield restaurants led by Ridgefield Chamber of Commerce.
Activities
- Pick-Up a free Craft and Activity packet from Ridgefield City Hall front step beginning Friday, September 4th at 10AM throughout the weekend (while supplies last).
- Walkable Scavenger Hunt: Gather, trade and build like the Chinookan people on Lake River in the early 1800’s. Submit your completed project for a chance to win a prize from Vancouver Flames Basketball.
