The Griffy Lake Boathouse will re-open on weekends beginning April 3rd, 2021 for call-ahead reservations only. We offer kayak, canoe, and standup paddle board rentals for $8/hr (2 hour rental limit). Griffy Lake Boathouse accepts cash, checks, and credit and debit cards (MasterCard, Visa and Discover only) for boat rentals, and for the purchase of 10-Rental passes and private boat launch fees.
Griffy's pier, as well as its canoe and kayak launch, is accessible.
To make a reservation, call the boathouse at (812)349-3732 during business hours. For groups of 10+ people or to make a reservation outside normal business hours, email griffy.boathouse@bloomington.in.gov.
All private watercrafts launching at Griffy Lake will be required to purchase a Daily Launch Pass ($8/day) or purchase an Annual Launch Permit ($80/season). Boat motors are limited to electric trolling motors only. There is NO SWIMMING allowed at Griffy Lake.

May-August: Daily, 8 a.m.-8 p.m.
September: Daily, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
October: weekends only, 9 a.m.-6 p.m.
November-March: Closed
