This 15-mile loop begins at the Shores Lake Campground, travels up White Rock Creek passes White Rock Falls, then climbs up to White Rock Mountain. From there, the trail follows the Ozark Highlands Trail down to Salt Fork, then follows the Salt Fork valley back South to Shores Lake. This is a great trail for a two-day backpacking trip or a long day hike for those that move a little faster. A short spur trail at the North end of the loop will take you up to the top of White Rock Mountain, where you will find a campground, and cabins.
