Sempervirens Fund has been protecting redwood forests in the Santa Cruz Mountains since 1900. The panels on this kiosk share some of the legacy of the land trust that has repeatedly catalyzed the conservation movement, locally and beyond, and lets you know how you can get involved in caring for these majestic wildlands now, for forever.
Not only did Sempervirens build the Robert C. Kirkwood Entrance to improve access and quality of visitor experience, Sempervirens helped start Castle Rock in 1968, and has contributed well over half of the 5,242 acres that now comprise the park. With your support the park will continue to grow, and provide ever-larger wildlife corridors to adjacent open space.
