Liffy Island is a 40-acre island located on Lake Hopatcong. The marsh on its western shore is an important fish breeding area, is utilized as habitat by a number of wading birds, and supports rare species of wetland plants. A 225-ft boardwalk connects the island to the James Leach Boardwalk Trail, a section of the Lake Hopatcong Trail.
