A beautiful 62-acre, privately owned, waterbody adjacent to Lake Hopatcong. Bear Pond access is exclusively limited to the shoreline via the Lake Hopatcong/Highland Trail. Visitors should not stray from the trail as this is private property with public access strictly limited to hiking on the marked trail.

2018 conservation easements with the Hudson Farm acquired by New Jersey Department of Environmental Protection, New Jersey Highlands Council, The Land Conservancy of New Jersey , and the William Penn Foundation (the Open Space Institute) enables public access along the Lake Hopatcong Trail/Highland Trail for day hikes only. All water activities, including fishing, are prohibited.
