The Beyer Farm Trail is a collaboration of community partners investing into a unique multi-use trail that provides recreational and educational opportunities in the greater Warsaw area. The Beyer Farm Trail is a successful public-private partnership to improve the quality of life for all residents. Over $435,000 in grants and donations were obtained to complete this project.
The two-thirds of a mile trail begins on the Kosciusko Community Hospital campus near the Health & Wellness Center and terminates at Pike Lake Park. A 10' wide asphalt path travels a short distance before entering the urban wetland on the eastern shore of Pike Lake. An 1800 linear foot boardwalk meanders through the 60-acre wetland. Interpretative signage guides the trail users explaining the functions of the wetland and the wildlife and vegetation that are present. Upon exiting the wetland, an asphalt trail parallels the lakeshore to the campground at Pike Lake Park.
The significance and history of the Beyer Farm at this location is an important part of the heritage of our community. The Beyer Farm Trail celebrates the contributions that the Beyer family has made to Kosciusko County. The trail represents the legacy of the Beyer family as well as showcases the progressiveness of our community.
