Point of Interest
The Buck Canyon Trail is rich with a variety of natural features. In early summer, wildflowers reach their prime and hundreds of hummingbirds may be seen feeding on red horsemint. It passes through forests of incense-cedar and fir, open grassy meadows, and brush thickets of manzanita, chokecherry and occasional black oak.

Location: North of Medford, in the Rogue River National Forest. Trailhead on FS Road 6560 (Watson Falls Road), about one mile northwest of State Highway 230 (Diamond Lake Highway).

From Medford, OR, take Highway 62 / Crater Lake Highway east. Then continue on Highway 230 / Diamond Lake Highway north for another 12 miles. Turn left on Forest Road 6560 and follow about a half of a mile to the trailhead.
