Greetings from the City of Orange Beach, Alabama
On behalf of our City Council and as Mayor of the City of Orange Beach, it is my pleasure to welcome you to our city where we like to say, “Life Is Better Here.”
While you are here, you will come to understand what we mean by this as you soak in the spectacular beauty of our sunrises, sunsets and enjoy walking along our sandy white beaches. We encourage each of you to relax and experience all that the City of Orange Beach and the beautiful Alabama Gulf Coast have to offer.
Residents and visitors to Orange Beach are blessed with the opportunity to take in breathtaking natural beauty including the Hugh S. Branyon Backcountry Trail, which is integrated throughout Pleasure Island as a nationally recognized trail system. With our public canoe and kayak trails, fishing pier and public beach accesses, there is always a place to get away on your getaway.
Orange Beach is home to a vibrant sports community, including our very own Orange Beach Middle and High School Makos. We are known as the “Youth Sports Capital of the South,” hosting championship sporting events, leagues and teams of all levels of competition at the Orange Beach Sportsplex. Our Recreation Complex has premiere fitness, aquatic and tennis facilities for both residents and visitors. And do not forget to bring your clubs and try our Par 3 executive style golf course.
Arts and entertainment are vital in our community. Many visit our city to see some of the biggest names in entertainment take the stage at the Wharf Amphitheater, while others visit the Coastal Arts Center featuring the “Hot Shop” and “Clay Studio” where you can blow hot glass and make your own pottery, taking home a handmade souvenir.
Orange Beach offers some other unique facilities of interest, including a waterfront public library, Indian and Sea Museum, Kids Park, Adult/Senior Activity Center and the “Unleashed” Dog Park, most of which offer free Wi-Fi hotspots for your convenience and connectivity.
