1031 Harrison Ave., NOLA 70124
There are other entrances into Couturie Forest but it's easy to imagine yourself leaving the city as you cross this bridge. The forest covers 26 acres, so expect to see countless varieties of trees and birds. The primary trail is about a mile long and the secondary trails add up to 1.5 miles. If you would like to stand at the highest point in New Orleans, then hike up Laborde Mountain. But if you are looking for a quite open space, in the middle of the forest, there is 2.5 acres of open field.
