Discovery Trail is a 700 foot long paved interpretive trail designed to accommodate handicapped individuals/groups and educational groups from elementary school systems, primarily grades four through six. Four interpretive stops along the trail explain nature's processes by recycling visitor operated tape-recorded messages and exhibit activities. Each stop has a different theme: Stop #1, "Land from Water" concerning fossils; Stop #2, "Pioneer Plants", about how plants grow; Stop #3, "Why is it Different", about the types of plants; and Stop #4, "Useful Plants", about how we use plants.
