This cabin is dedicated to the memory of Park Ranger Darryl Hunt, who worked for the Division of Parks and Outdoor Recreation from 1981 until 2003. Ranger Hunt managed the Chena River State Recreation Area from 1994 to 2003. Far all except the last two years, he was the “lone ranger”. Darryl cared deeply about the Recreation Area, placing the well-being of the area and its visitors foremost in his heart.
