This shelter has electrical outlets, lights, a fireplace, playground access, grills, drinking fountain, and a volleyball court nearby. Maximum capacity: 75 people. Pedestrian access to the Waterfall Shelter is via a paved trail from the parking lot south of the Lower Cascades Park playground, where a bridge crosses the creek. There is no vehicle access to the Waterfall Shelter.
During the summer of 2021, a significant streambank erosion project and construction of a boardwalk to the Cascades waterfall and extension of the Cascades Park Trail will require closure of the Waterfall Shelter from May 1 through December 31, 2021. The shelter will not be available for rental or for use during that time.
