Nestled in the hillside on the north shore of Lake Glacier, the Old Log Cabin has a long and rich history. Originally built around 1814, it was purchased by Dr. Timothy Woodbridge in 1862 and moved to its current location. The park commissioners acquired the cabin in 1892 after the passage of the Township Park Act. The last resident of the cabin was a former quarry worker, Joe Renaldo, known as “Cabin Joe”. Joe was an expert gardener and was employed by the park for 40 years and resided there until his death in July 1933.
