Although all tenants are required to follow our organic gardening guidelines, fruits and vegetables that have been grown organically may still carry dirt, bacteria, and other contaminants that you may not want to eat. You can get rid of any unwanted dirt, debris, or insects from the surface of your produce by washing it. Additionally, washing your produce can help extend its shelf life by removing any bacteria or mold that could cause it to spoil faster.
