An inviting, forested campground with access to Layng Creek and Swordfern Trail #1404, Rujada Campground offers modern day amenities for an easy, stress-free getaway. Its flush toilets, running water, playground, and large day use picnic area means you don’t feel like you’ve strayed too far from civilization, while the local undergrowth—including wildflowers like pioneer violet and wild iris—ensures that your campsite feels secluded.
When you’re ready to escape into the forest, 1.8-mile Swordfern Trail #1404 starts at the day use site and loops around the campground, taking you along the shore of Layng Creek, over a wooden footbridge, through lush swordfern understory, and down an abandoned logging road until you exit by the host campsite. You can also choose to do a shorter loop.
A campground host is generally on duty through the summer use season.
