This project took place over a few years after Dale Hedrick told us of the boiler. It was used to add steam to trains going to Bonnyville and Cold Lake near the end of the steam era. Some trains waited here and the unit was used to keep passenger cars warm while they idled. 

A contractor working on the trail donated the leveling of the land.
