The California Coastal Trail is a network of existing and proposed trails along the Pacific Coast from Mexico to Oregon. Within Los Angeles County the trail follows the arc around Santa Monica Bay, passing through heavily populated, sandy beaches as well as more secluded, protected marine habitats, such as the Leo Carrillo and Will Rogers State Beaches. The southern portion of the trail within the County includes 22 miles of continuous bicycle and pedestrian pathway.
The California Coastal Trail is accessible from a number of access points along the PCH, including staging areas at Will Rogers State Beach, located approximately 4 miles north of Santa Monica and Leo Carrillo State Beach, located approximately 10 miles north of Malibu.
