This paved walking trail runs along the edge of Adams Lake. It is great for exercising or watching wildlife. A loop can be made by taking the trail and walking back to where you began on the park road. There are lots of great aquatic birds, frogs, basking turtles and other wildlife to observed. Adams Lake Prairie State Nature Preserve is located across the parking lot at the far end of the park road. It is best to visit the prairie in late July or early August for peak blooming season.
