The Andrew Brook Trail climbs steeply from the trailhead 1.6 miles to Lake Solitude on the eastern slopes of Mount Sunapee. The trail crosses Andrew Brook multiple times on the way up (be aware in high water it may be difficult to cross without getting wet feet). Lake Solitude can be enjoyed from its shoreline, or from White’s Ledges above (a short but steep additional 0.2 miles).
This trail crosses property owned and managed by several landowners, including the Forest Society and New Hampshire State Parks (Sunapee State Park). Trail maintenance is generously conducted by the Cardigan Mountain Highlanders Trail Crew.
