Linda Falls Preserve, located just outside the hamlet of Angwin, consists of 140 acres in the Conn Creek watershed. The trailhead is located on a bike path behind Caiocca Pass off Howell Mountain Road. Park on the road next to or across from the ball fields, then walk a few hundred feet southwest along Howell Mountain Road to the bike path trailhead.
The Preserve includes two hiking trails, one to Linda Falls, and the other is Old Sawmill Trail, which runs through coniferous forest with mixed chaparral descending 770 feet to the western park boundary. The Linda Falls Trail, which is the more popular of the two trails, provides access to the eponymous Falls, which drop 31 feet into a natural basin and then over large volcanic boulders. The trail crosses the creek at the base, providing spectacular views of the Falls, with some fun boulder hopping (slippery—be very careful) and natural seating among the volcanic remains.
