This is the longer Shawnee Day Hike Trail Loop. Parking is at the Shawnee Nature Center on St Rt 125, and the trailhead is located directly across the road. The eastern portion of this trail travels through a high conservation area of mature timber and through part of the original Roosevelt Game Preserve. Along the ridge, a variety of timber management techniques can be viewed. In Williamson Hollow hikers can see a large beaver dam and an old chimney from a home built in the 1800s.
