This is the newly added, shorter loop to the Shawnee Day Hike Trail. Parking is at the Shawnee Nature Center on St Rt 125, and the trailhead is located directly across the road. Hiking clockwise around the loop, hikers can see some timber management techniques and scenic views before connecting with the East and West Loops’ shared portion of trail and descending into the hollow. In Williamson Hollow hikers can see a large beaver dam and an old chimney from a home built in the 1800s.
