This "trail" is actually a little-used paved road. The route extends from Kanan Dume Road to Ramera Motorway.  Plan for an out-and-back visit to stay on public lands.  For those with strollers or other wheeled devices wanting a smooth, solid surface, this is the trail for you, although there are moderately steep grades.  The road passes through chaparral-blanketed slopes, with good views toward the ocean. Parking is only available on Kanan Road just south of the motorway.

From PCH head north on Kanan Dume Road. Road shoulder parking, and then the motorway entrance, will be on the right (east) after approximately 2.6 miles. The motorway is unmarked, so watch carefully or you'll pass it by. From the 101, exit at Kanan Road and travel south approximately 9.5 miles. Watch for an unmarked paved road to your left, and park just to the south of it.
