This trail starts at the spillway parking lot, crosses the creek and enters a field that is perfect for songbird and butterfly watching in spring and summer. This same area is full of local mating frog species and American toads in the early spring. The 2-mile trail follows the creek and along the hillsides to the front of the park with an option to loop back at the half-way point, cutting the trail milage in half. The terrain is easy and accessible to most all abilities.
