With 2.4 miles that loop though hilly terrain, these multi-use trails are great for short excursions in winter and summer. The trailhead can be found at the end of the parking lot, near the outhouse and signs for the Morgan Horse Trail. (The Morgan Horse Trail departs from the end of these trails.)
Skiing, snowshoeing, and skijoring are all popular here. The upper trails are wide with a gentle slope and are accessible to most skiers. With steep downhills and hairpin turns, the trails on the downhill side to the right offer a fun challenge for more advanced skiers, or those looking for a steep walk. The trails may be groomed for both skate and classic ski techniques. Snow conditions will vary throughout the winter. In summer, these wide looping trails can be used for walking, and can be muddy in wet weather! Enjoy the views of Lazy Mountain and the Matanuska River basin.
