The Markley trail is a not a maintained trail; however, it is a great spot for a walk along the southern shore of Lake Berryessa. There is one washout and you might consider heading up to the road to the next pullout to walk around it. This spot is popular with anglers and there are many connections down to the lake shore for water access. The Trail starts at the upper parking lot of Markley Cove Resort and travels along the southern shore of Lake Berryessa, ending close to the Monticello Dam. The trail has multiple trailheads along Highway 128, allowing easy access to Lake Berryessa for shoreline picnicking and swimming. The Markley Trail offers expansive views of the Lake.
