Maude Road Extension is a recently improved 1-2 lane gravel road leading past the Kenny and Patti Barber Shooting Range that leads to Jim Lake and the Rippy trailheads.  It is paved to just past the Plumley-Maud trailhead junction and it is suitable for 2 wheel drive vehicles all the way to the large turnaround lot and canoe put in on the shore of Jim Lake. 

This road may not be navigable in winter.
