This trail segment has a gentle progression uphill from the trail access point, making this trail segment ideal exercising enthusiasts. This trail is situated between two large hillsides, providing both shade and noise protection from the urban environment. Trail users can expect beautiful views of the Peter F. Schabarum Regional Park and hillsides from the top.

From the 60, turn onto S. Azusa Ave. Turn left onto Colima Rd. heading east. Take the first right onto Powder Canyon Mtwy heading south. Parking is available throughout Peter Schabarum Regional Park. Access to the trail is at the south end of Powder Canyon Mtwy near the staging area.
