The Tank Trail is a public, multi-use winter trail within the Emil Stancec Trail System. Most of the trails are groomed and managed by local dog mushers through the Willow Trail Committee. The primary use of the trails are by dog teams either for recreation or race training. Since the trails are narrow and visibility is sometimes limited, it is very important to be vigilant for the teams. The trail is thought to have been used by the military for training in the 1950’s which gave its current name.
