At times difficult to navigate, the Wolverine Creek trail follows a 17(b) Easement below Wolverine Lake, up hills and through overgrown fields and two short muddy sections before dropping down along Wolverine Creek. The trail becomes increasingly indistinct after a couple miles along Wolverine Creek.
Several unofficial trails branch off of the easement route, including a trail up Red Mountain.
The nearest public parking is a pullout at the end of Wolverine Road. To get to the trail, backtrack along Wolverine Road until you reach N Dewachen Cir. Follow this road 1/4 mile down to a shallow creek which can be crossed by walking over a culvert. (The beginning of the trail is close to homes.) From here on, pay close attention to the brown Easement Marker signs which lead the way to Wolverine Creek. Around 1.5 miles in, the Wolverine Creek Trail descends to the right while an undesignated trail continues to the left up Red Mountain.
